The Repair Process
- Initial computerized damage appraisal is written and the vehicle owner signs repair authorization.
- After insurance approval, the parts are ordered electronically.
- When parts are received, client is contacted to schedule vehicle.
- When the vehicle arrives it is disassembled and re-inspected for hidden damage.
- If necessary, a supplemental damage report is written and parts will be ordered pending approval from insurance company (which may alter completion date). Client is updated.
- The frame is repaired on unibody equipment, and the panels are test fitted to vehicle to ensure proper fit.
- Corrosion protection is re-applied to the repaired areas and the vehicle is prepped for paint.
- After being chemically masked, taped, chemically cleaned and tacked, the vehicle goes through a multi-step refinish process using HVLP (high volume low pressure) equipment to match the original factory color.
- After being painted the vehicle is baked at 175 degrees, (the same temperature as the factory) and then re-assembled.
- After any applicable alignments, test drive, or detailing, the vehicle undergoes a final quality control inspection. A confirmed delivery date is given to client.
